I went to two Astros games this weekend to watch them sweep the Cardinals! Although I had standing room only tickets for the Sunday game, it was worth it to see what could be Roger Clemens’ last game at Minute Maid Park. But after last night’s win, Houston is within 1 1/2 games of the NL Central lead. Go Astros!!

[Update, Sep 29th] - The Astros are now only a 1/2 game behind, just a little more to go!
[Update, Oct 1st] - It’s all over for the Astros now. They didn’t make it to the postseason, but they put up a great fight and we loved watching them try. Thanks for a great season guys!!!

Not only did the Astros make it to the World Series, but I was able to get 4 tickets in the ticket lottery so I’m spending next Tuesday at Game 3!! You wouldn’t believe how many people were trying to convince me to sell my tickets on eBay, but I really don’t care how much money I could make on them, I just want to go to see the game! I can only imagine how exciting the game will be. Even just watching the playoff games at Wolfie’s was crazy, being surrounded by all the fans. I can’t wait.

Just finished watching the Houston Astros lose to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Astros did great, but they finally lost in Game 7. I’ve think I’ve watched more baseball in the past couple of weeks than I have in my entire life up until now. It was a good run, but now I’m sad.

Oh, we did get to try some of our home brew beer for the game. It came out really good! I’ll have to start up another batch real soon.
