Pump up the Volume!
There’s one thing that’s always bothered me about my MAME Cabinet. I sealed the speakers up inside the cabinet, and consequently, I had no way to adjust the volume. (Other than software, but software can’t make it loud enough.) Anyway, just to prove that my MAME Cabinet is never really done, I added external volume control buttons that directly control the speakers.

WordPress & More MAME
And now for another update. I’ve updated my blog to use WordPress instead of Blogger. I just like trying different things.
And I did make a slight modification to my MAME cabinet. I added a fully retractable keyboard drawer to completely hide the keyboard that was so obvious in the older pictures. I know, it still needs some paint, but it works!

I also wrote a custom front-end for MAME. I know there’s 100 already out there, but now I have complete control over how it works.

My MAME Cabinet
Okay, it’s been a year since my first/last post, plus I just finished my most recent “project” so I figure it’s time for another post. My latest obsession has been to build a MAME cabinet. Why? Just because I can. Anyway, it’s finally finished, so here it is:

I ordered the controls from Ultimarc, I think the control panel turned out pretty well.

Finally Mame Marquees did an excellent job on the Marquee, it looks very professional. (I got this particular one off eBay as an extra so I saved a bit of $$money$$).
